Swiss Poker Series – Aix-les-Bains
The inaugural 2024 season was incredibly successful for the Swiss Poker Series (SPS): across the seven stops, there was a very impressive 3,143 total entrants in the CHF 500 Main Events. How do you make those numbers even more impressive in 2025?
Simple – team up with one of the world’s largest online poker platforms in PokerStars. The home of online poker will be the official online qualification route for players who want to make it to the beautiful French spa town of Aix-les-Bains, mixing our expertise with the rich history and heritage of the Casino Grand Cercle that dates back all the way to 1824.
Of course, the casino offers state-of-the-art facilities, too, along with incredible views of the nearby Lake Bourget. When you put it like that, SPS Aix-les-Bains isn’t an event to be missed.

By air:
Chambéry Airport (CMF) is located around 9 km (5.6 miles) from Aix-les-Bains and is the closest airport. The drive takes about 15-20 minutes, with taxis and private transfers available directly to the casino or city center. A car rental is also a convenient option.
Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport (LYS) is approximately 90 km (56 miles) away and takes about 1 hour by car or 1.5 hours by train.
Geneva Airport (GVA) is around 75 km (47 miles) away and takes approximately 1.25 hours by car.
By train:
The city is well-connected to the French rail network by Aix-les-Bains-Le Revard station:
- From Lyon: Direct regional trains take about 1-1.5 hours.
- From Paris: The high-speed TGV train takes approximately 3.5 hours.
- From Geneva: Regional trains take about 1.5 hours.
The casino is a convenient 5-minute walk from Aix-les-Bains-Le Revard.
By Car:
- From Chambéry: The drive takes about 20 minutes via the A41 highway.
- From Lyon: The drive takes about 1-1.5 hours via the A43 and A41 highways.
- From Geneva: The drive takes around 1.25 hours via the A41 highway (south).
The casino is located in the town center and offers nearby parking options, including public parking lots and street parking. Look for parking areas close to the Rue du Casino.

*Credit and debit cards won’t be accepted at the registration desks. Players need to purchase chips at the casino cashier and then proceed to the cash registration desks.
